| Candidate CV resume: | CAREER HISTORY Ancorite Surface Proction Ltd –SandbachSite ManagerSite based manager controlling day to day operations. Ensuring labour, plant and materials were resourced and optimum levels maintained throughout the contract duration. Assisting contract managers/quantity surveyors with valuations, recording any non contract variations and providing relevant back up details (Photos, delivery notes, labour records, day work sheets). Establishing site procedures for inductions, safety training and receiving operatives on site. Ensuring all Method Statements, Risk Assessments and COSHH information were in place so that the labour force( including sub- contractors) maintained compliance with the requirements.Maintaining daily contact with the clients staff to receive and provide current information regarding the programme /drawing updates/RFI`s and attending any relevant site meetings.Sites include the recently completed Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush, Dow Corning in Barry and Corus Steel in Llanelli. 2007 - current Quest Industrial Services Ltd - Lymm Senior Quantity Surveyor 2005 - 2006 Managed all Estimating and Surveying. Installed templates for the Estimating functions, to produce Quotations from basic information (Contractors/Client enquiry) including area take offs from drawings, producing Bills of Quantity, pricing up all relevant operations and obtaining sub contractors estimates for specific items.Managed the Surveying function when the Contracts were obtained. This involved attending pre contract meetings and producing Method Statements/Risk and COSHH Assessments for the jobs involved. Accepting/declining client’s orders and ensuring the specified terms were not erroneous. Producing valuations and/ or monthly invoices for work carried out and agreeing final account details with the client’s representative. Providing detailed material/ labour /plant schedules for the Contracts Team and ran small to medium projects. Kemtile -Warrington Quantity Estimator/Surveyor 1993 - 2005 Worked alongside two Estimators /Surveyors carrying out the day to day running of the Department. Responsibility for training of junior staff in office and site procedures. Devised the Method Statement/Risk and COSHH Assessment formats and identified training requirements and maintained records to meet regulatory standards. Produced invoices/requests for payment, submitted and agreed final accounts with Main Contractors/Direct Clients. Produced detailed material/labour/plant schedules for the Contracts Team and ran small to medium projects. This company had two divisions, one carrying out Resin based coatings and the other Chemical resistant and Domestic tile linings thus introducing me to a new area of protective coatings. Site based Quantity Surveyor on the (then) new Terminal 4 Project at Heathrow airport. Refracor/Specitile Corrosion Engineering - Leeds Quantity Estimator/Surveyor 1976 -1982 Similar work to previous employment but with added responsibility including site visits to measure and discuss clients requirements prior to producing quotations. Completed HNC Construction qualification plus `A` levels in Building Law and Surveying. Dunlop(Chemline Services Division) -Crewe Junior Estimator 1972 - 1976 Worked with the Senior Estimator in the chemical resistant lining division to obtain initial training in area take off quantities, calculating rates for individual items of work and producing cost estimates for submission to the end client. Attended the local college to obtain an ONC in Construction.
