Harry called this morning to deliver a large quantity of sleepers ordered by my landscapers, who were off-site. He spent a considerable amount of time discussing the least disruptive location to offload the sleepers. I then observed they looked smaller than anticipated. He took an interest in our project and agreed with me and then showed considerable patience whilst I tried, unsuccessfully, to contact my landscapers.

He then called his office and, after some fairly lengthy enquiries it was realised the wrong items had been loaded. Harry is a great credit to you company. Many drivers would have just said "it's what it says on the docket" and left me with a useless product blocking my drive and Pennyhill with the task of coming back to collect the sleepers. I'm not sure I will ever need your services again but I will have no hesitation in using or recommending you company. Mistakes happen, it's all about how you handle them

I don't often write reviews but the service and team at PHT is exceptional. They are fantastically knowledgeable and the delivery gentleman I had (has a tattoo of his daughters name on his arm) was a perfect mix of friendly, funny and professional. Very easy to order from and very helpful. Ordered decking and joists 3 times from them, each time it was straight forward and the delivery drivers were very helpful. Just ordered and received 2x sleepers and 3 tonnes of gravel. Perfect.

Great company. We ordered 10 reclaimed railway sleepers on a Sunday evening, and they were delivered by the Wednesday. Good communication ahead of delivery, excellent product and really friendly, professional, and helpful delivery driver. Thoroughly recommend this company.

A first time customer, I picked Pennyhill because they were 30% cheaper than my usual source. I feared there might be a diminution in quality but my fears were groundless. The driver showed me the load and then pointed to a split board. "That was loaded for you but we noticed the split so another was loaded to replace it". The quality was every bit as good and the driver helpful and pleasant. I'll definitely back.

Fantastic service from Pennyhill timber Ltd. I got in touch for some Oak sleepers and fence panels. The service was second to none and they responded quickly to my enquiry. I had the goods delivered within the same week! Excellent service and highly recommend them. We will be back for more fencing soon.

Ordering process was average and prices similar to other suppliers. Note: Although site indicates that Amex is accepted, when I tried it aborted payment and deleted my basket, i had to start over again and use a different card. My main issue is with very poor comms and customer service. They had agreed to do last delivery of the day and that the driver would assist me lift 3 heavy sleepers to back garden.

Actual delivery was first of the day, driver couldn't care less, my daughter and I had to struggle later to move the sleepers. When I later rang to advise of the mix up, someone took the details and said the manager would get back to me probably later that day. No reply ever received!

Great customer service and they price match! Ordered on a Monday, delivered on Tuesday at 8am. Delivery driver was excellent - very polite and helpful. Will use again for sure with this level of service. Also worth contacting them if the items are shown as out of stock as this isn't always correct.
