What a joke of company, show room was good and the sales pitch very smooth, after that it was a total joke, absolutely no customer service to speak of at all, firstly booked an appointment for a quote and the guy turns up an hour and half late with notcreal explanation or call to tell me they were still coming, then was advised i would get my quote that day and had an email stating please see attachment when there was no attachment, tried emailing back during open hours no response and then i called again no response (this was a friday so had to wait all weekend). monday got the quote was happy with it call straight away to book in, was told will get your file and call back, guess what no call back yet and its been 3 days.safe to say we have now heard of Barrys place so i guess i will be giving him my money, avoid at all cost.

Avoid like the plague. Have gone into liquidisation presumably with unpaid debts therefore voiding all warranties issues by the company on carpets and flooring. Despite not laying our very expensive bedroom carpet properly in the first place and having to come back three times to sort the issues still remain. Emailed to get the problem resolved to get a response saying call the receivers.
They can't do anything so basically Shakespeare's bad management of their business resulting in it going belly up means the customers are out of pocket. They have now set up straight away with another Shakespeare spin off leaving their old customers and presumably debtors up the swanny. I've since had carpets from Barry's Place which in my opinion is a far superior product and service. Shakespeare's you should be utterly ashamed of yourself and your lack of customer service and business acumen. Karma is a wonderful thing. Let's hope yours comes in apocalyptic proportions

Excellent service from start to finish. So impressed with the Karndean they fitted in our kitchen, we've booked to have the bathroom done too! Was amazing to watch the skilled craftsmen at work. Special thanks to Paul who was always on the other end of the phone for help and advice. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Do not use Shakespeare flooring we were quoted over 700 to sand and finish living room floor. We were told the floor was in good shape and didn't need taking up and relaying and any lose blocks would be glued down and all gaps filled. It looked very good when finished but a few weeks later parquet blocks started to come lose, I can only put it down to how robust their sander was they came out to look and said they would send someone out to put it right but before anyone came they sent us a quote for 166 to do it.
After a heated discussion on the phone we told them to shove their quote where sun don't shine. If they'd quoted for taking up and relaying in the first place we would have considered this now I've got a tube of glue and will sort it myself. Cowboys! Steer well clear.
