Good selection of the type of carpet we wanted, no problem when we had to delay our fitting and a good job done when we were ready and the old carpet removed too.

Excellent service from start to finish. We are delighted with the end result and the quality of workmanship. Chris the fitter was very thorough, professional and polite and followed up as promised to fit a joining strip. Based on our experience I would recommend First Floors.

Do not recommend using. If you do use please make sure you have clear documentation about what the process is if there are any problems with your carpet and what warranties there are. We bought carpet for the whole of the upstairs of the house and love the carpet, however due to how it was fitted there edges have started becoming frayed and unravelling.

After raising this with David he would not take any responsibility and tried to shift the blame saying it must have been our hoover that caused the problem or our doors being too low. I've since had advice from one carpet shop and a carpet fitter who have advised our door height is perfect and the issue is how it was fitted. David would not agree to get someone to even look at the issues never mind fix the issue.

I'm currently raising a call with Citizens advice. So in summary whilst everyone at first floor did seem genuine and friendly when I was buying, if you have any issues after fitting you will find a completely different attitude

Used First Floors to help replace the carpeting in the Bedrooms and upgrade the flooring of the bathrooms. Excellent service at their shop and the fitting service was really good. Will use again in the future. Martin

I chose a smaller business expecting a duty of care to the customer. For 23 m2 I was initially quoted 4000 for fitting and materials, I thought a far price considering the floor itself cost 55M2 and in a currently high climate. So I added a 10m2 hallway. After coming round to measure up my final quote was 8500. The quote was never sent by email, as requested (wrote down for them).

Completely wasted my time. Since I could not receive a break down in prices for this quote. Amiture. The men I was a dealing with showed particular interested in my line of work (oil and gas), maybe this is why the price jumped up so much. I struggle to believe 9mm ply wood bumps the price up that much.

Another Great Job Done! Just had our third floor project in seven years completed by First Floors once again. Great service from David and his showroom team from assisting in the selection of materials through to arranging the installation. Chris and his team worked tidily and efficiently on the hardwood flooring with great attention to detail. Gordon who fitted the stair carpet was very professional in his work and was able to resolve some problematic details to our entire satisfaction. Would definitely recommend First Floors.

I purchased amtico flooring 3 years ago for our kitchen service and fitting were excellent, However after 8 months the flooring yay our conservatory area started to lift. I called first floors and due to COVID they could not resolve the problem as we live in Troon Ayrshire Now all David Samuels offered was 50 to have a local tradesmen refit the panels, no one locally wants to do the work. Do Not buy flooring from this company if you live in Ayrshire they don't come and repair their faulty workmanship. Jackie farrell

We recently purchased engineered oak flooring and carpets from First Floors. The customer service from David and team was exceptional. We had just moved home from overseas and bought a house with no floors so we did not have access to allow First Floors to measure. Theye allowed us to use our own measurements as we wanted the floors laid ASAP once we had the keys.

The floor is beautiful and laid very professionally (thanks Steven). The carpets are also lovely and exactly what I wanted. The only thing I would change about the experience would be to have First Floors assess the house in advance. We have fire doors which were a problem the day the carpets were laid. This was not the issue of First Floors and it was resolved quickly. Thanks again David, we would highly recommend First Floors to anyone.

I moved home in December and was getting new flooring put in. I received excellent customer service from Andy who I felt went over and beyond to help make moving and getting jobs done that little bit easier. Options of flooring were discussed in detail along with clear breakdowns of the pricing and offers. Andy was very flexible assisting with measurements even taking the time outside of working hours to help at such a hectic time for me and kept in touch with me through developments making sure everything went smoothly. I am very happy with the service from first floors and will definitely use them again in the future!

First class service from the minute we stepped into First Floors to our floor being installed. The First Floor team explained all the different types of flooring in detail and helped us make the right choice. They let us take our time and borrow numerous samples to take back to our house so that we were able to make the right choice which was a massive help.

The 2 men that laid the floor did a fantastic job, they were friendly, very tidy and worked hard over 2 days, communicating with us all the time as to how they were getting on. We are over the moon with our new floor. Thanks again to everyone for the superb service you provided. Andy & Susan.

I would highly recommend First Floors. Andrew was very patient showing us different types of wood and carpets and have answered all our questions. The wood and carpets are of great quality and stand out from other samples we have seen in different shops. We had previously used first floors when we first moved to Glasgow winter 2018 because of the awards advertised in their shop window and online. Although it was slow we were pleased with the finished result. We had more carpeting planned this year and returned to them again, but have been exertemely disappointed with the length of time (4months since paying in full- which is when the carpets have arrrived in the shop) to get carpets fitted as well as additional hidden payments (for plying floor prior to carpets being laid) added on at the last despite 5 visits by shop staff and fitters before agreeing quote. Would not recommend or use again.

I've now used First Floors three times for flooring - carpet and luxury vinyl twice. Great service, very nice showrooom and friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Failed to show for sales appointment and retracted verbal fitting schedule. I had intended to introduce them to other family members but fortunately.did not. Narrow escape from a company that clearly misrepresents their commitment to customer service.

'We visited the First Floors showroom in November last year as we were visiting family in the area and in the middle of renovating our home in London. The range of of wood flooring was fantastic and the prices were vastly cheaper than in our local area. We ordered a beautiful engineered wood floor from Panaget after David spent a long time giving us information and advice on all the options. The floor was delivered in the agreed timeframe, and the service and advice we received was excellent and we felt under no pressure to place an order.

I had a great experience with First Floors - I went in on the recommendation of two friends who had their floors done locally and thought their showroom was fabulous. Spoke to Patrick who went through all the carpet options with me and ended up going for a natural fibre carpet up the stairs and a stain resistant one for the kid's bedrooms. Fitting was very efficient and tidy, and have now ordered a kitchen vinyl floor. Friendly service and found that their prices were much more competitive than other companies locally.

Visited their plush showroom in March 15 Agreed measuring by phone April 15. First floors got a different time from the time I had, but they came back. Planned to do most of our new house using first floors, but later decided not to put all our eggs in one basket and see how they did with just kitchen and two bathrooms. Asked end of May if they could do the work before 18th June, which is when we would be on holiday.

They said it would be a push but yes. Pencilled in 17th June. Ordered materials, paid deposit. To cut a long story short, we moved into our new house on 19th July with no kitchen or bathroom floors and no date given when the work could be done. We'd already paid for the materials so asked them to deliver so we could get our own fitters. They did, less some items we'd actually paid for (and they ignored my email to ask for an up to date invoice).

My advice: visit their nice showroom, take some samples, choose what you like, then buy it online (it'll be cheaper) and find your own fitter - easy to do through mybuilder for example. Got the floor done nicely and quickly within 10 days around 15% cheaper than first floors' price. My analysis: giving them the benefit of the doubt, they're busy and can't cope with the business, so are messing around the lower value jobs (my job was around 1000 value). Without the benefit of the doubt, they are either incompetent in their admin or dishonest, or both.
